SIMMIS GUIDE

known limits

The current limits to examine before trusting Simmis with consequential or sensitive work.

the current authorization boundary

Working now. Room and knowledge base boundaries can deny access by default. In progress. More precise access rules remain incomplete for rows, fields, objects, and acting users. Permissions currently apply at the room level rather than the row level, so do not give guests access you would not give collaborators. Treat this limit as a product boundary. See the security model.

testing is uneven

In progress. Test coverage remains uneven, and AI has assisted heavily with parts of the codebase. Use Simmis beside production systems of record because this coverage does not support replacing them. Verification and product hardening remain active work on the roadmap.

integrations vary in maturity

Integration maturity varies by model provider, tool, and data connection. A conceptual workflow may name a permitted source even when a polished connector for that source has not shipped. Verify each dependency in the target deployment.

APIs may change without deprecation cycles

In progress. Interfaces are not yet stable, and APIs may change without deprecation cycles. Expect to revisit anything you build against them.

supported public installation is in progress

In progress. The source is available, but the supported public installation path and operator documentation have not yet shipped. Follow the roadmap for that work.

standalone simulation remains research

Research. Branching, historical state, and probabilistic ideas inform future organizational simulation. A standalone simulation product has not shipped.

This list is checked against the roadmap and release record. If you find an unlisted limit, the docs are wrong. Tell us.
